Design Success Cases
A selection of products where design made the measurable difference.
Toureg needed to feel premium and trustworthy while surfacing complex AI outputs — itineraries, pricing signals, travel recommendations — in a way that felt instant and personal rather than computational. The biggest challenge was designing the AI interaction layer: how do you make an AI-generated plan feel handcrafted?
"The interface didn't feel like AI. It felt like a really well-travelled friend who knew me."
— Beta user, LagosWe began with 40+ user interviews across frequent travellers and enterprise travel managers. Journey mapping revealed that the biggest anxiety point wasn't booking — it was trust in the recommendation. We designed an "AI reasoning" disclosure pattern that shows why each itinerary item was chosen, dramatically increasing trust scores in testing.
The component library included a specialised "AI card" pattern — designed to feel generous and editorial, not like a chatbot response. Motion design used intentional entrance delays to create the feeling of considered thought rather than instant generation.
Luxury commerce online felt cheap. Generic marketplaces optimised for volume, not experience. High-value buyers abandoned because the purchase journey didn't match the product prestige. Our challenge: design a digital space that felt like entering a flagship store.
"Finally, a luxury platform that doesn't feel like Amazon with a serif font."
— Fashion buyer, AbujaWe studied Harrods, Net-a-Porter, and Farfetch, then diverged. Our visual language used deliberate negative space, editorial-scale typography, and a restrained palette that let the products breathe. Every interaction was designed to feel considered — hover states that didn't rush, transitions that let the eye settle.
The checkout flow was the highest-priority design project. We reduced it to three steps, added a "concierge mode" for orders above ₦500k, and designed a confirmation screen that felt like receiving a gift — not completing a transaction.
